6 Days Gorilla & Murchison Falls Safari – Overview
The 6 Days Gorilla & Murchison Falls Safari offers an incredible combination of Uganda’s most famous wildlife experiences, bringing together thrilling savannah safaris and unforgettable mountain gorilla encounters. This journey takes travelers to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most diverse national park, and the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.
The safari begins with a visit to the spectacular Murchison Falls, where the powerful Victoria Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging dramatically into the river below. Travelers will enjoy exciting game drives across vast savannah plains in search of wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and antelopes. A scenic boat cruise to the base of the falls offers excellent opportunities to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of bird species along the riverbanks.
The adventure then continues south to the lush forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its mountain gorilla trekking experiences. Guided by experienced rangers, visitors hike through the dense rainforest to observe a habituated gorilla family in their natural habitat, spending a magical hour watching these gentle giants as they feed, play, and interact.
This safari perfectly blends Uganda’s spectacular wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and primate encounters, making it ideal for travelers who want to experience both the classic African savannah safari and the once-in-a-lifetime adventure of gorilla trekking.
